A Thought Flying By, 2009Acrylic colors  When I heard this song about a thought flying by, I started to think about it very literally. The song is very lively and as I have a strong addiction to light bulbs this imagery was what I saw in my head. Translating the atmosphere of someone’s thought flying above city lights to canvas worked out pretty well.  Music inspiration: 15 Minutes Before The Dive - A Thought Flying By This painting was a part of my Chasing Lights art exhibition in August, 2010.  For sale.

Hayley Williams, 2009Watercolors  Hayley Williams is an American singer, songwriter and the lead vocalist of the band Paramore. I would’ve wanted to paint the whole band but couldn’t find a picture to re-create, at least not the kind I was looking for. The original picture was in color and looked a lot different than this but I think this worked out pretty good anyway. Liam Cormier, 2009Watercolors and a marker Cancer Bats are a hardcore punk band from Canada. The band is mosty labaled as a hardcore punk metalcore band, with elements of southern metal, sludge metal, stoner metal and death punk. Finding the beauty in negative spaces, 2007Pencils on paper  Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces is the fourth studio album by a post-grunge alternative metal band Seether. The cover artwork was designed by David Ho, the same artist who designed the Vicious Delicious cover for Infected Mushroom. The covers apparently display the same character: Candice the Ghost. I saw the ad for the Seether album on Kerrang! (I think) and I just had to draw it and see how it would look like in black and white. I love the symbolism between the title and the image and I also kind of like how the outcome turned up to be.
